iPhone charger and cradle problem

I plugged my iPhone in today to charge and nothing happened. I tried almost every outlet in my apt to make sure it was the charger that wasn't working. I plugged the cradle into my iPod wall charger and the phone began to charge. From this I am assuming that it is a problem with the iPhone wall charger.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so, do you know if the charger is covered under the iPhone warranty?

Just take the charger in. I have read a couple posts about defective wall chargers. Oddly, they may work good enough for an iPod.

charger still not working

I took it into the Apple store and explained my problem. When it came time to show them how the charger doesn't charge a funny thing happened; it actually began to charge my iPhone. They told me they couldn't do anything for me.

I go home, plug my charger into the wall and place my iPhone into the cradle and.....THE THING STOPPED WORKING AGAIN!!!

any suggestions?

how weird. when i exchanged mine, they didn't ask any questions or even test it. maybe something in one of these threads will help:

Well Im in the same boat at the OP now. My wall charger used to work, now it doesnt. I just took a brand new charger out of another iphone I just got yesterday and that doesnt work either!!!

WTF?
