I unboxed my first iPhone (my first 2G from '07) and found myself appreciating the design and look a lot more than I did before. I always liked the look of the first iPhone. I feel the look (coloring, shape) is more appealing than the 3GS. Of course iPhone 4 blows both out of the water, but I thought it would be cool if you could get an iPhone 4 where the back glass was colored like the first iPhone (aluminum color plus black). That would be a nice option to have I think.

What if we could order our phones with custom colors and designs? Perhaps apple could offer more than just black and white. Seemed like a nice idea, though unlikely.

Highly unlikely. I think if Apple made the iPhones in iPod colors, then this whole "waiting for the white iPhone" mess would come to a halt. Then, you'd have everyone asking if they should get the blue one or the red one. Would be nice though.
