I have the current IPhone and I noticed a slight stress crack where you attached the charger. It is actually on both sides by both screws, more near the screen rather then the back.

I keep real good care, never been dropped and always kept in a hard case.

No signs of wear.

Does anyone have the same issues?

Would this be covered under warranty?

They were replacing phones for this issue for a while but recently I've heard they've stopped doing exchanges for cracks alone.

Guess they decided that because such a high percentage of their phones were cracking, it's the way they're supposed to be or "within spec".

Has anyone tried but was denied a warranty replacement?

This is an old issue now as cracks were noticed shorlty after the 3G release. You've got nothing to lose by taking it in and trying to get a replacment.

I gave a small crack in mine. In NZ the phones are sold by the carrier (Vodafone) and they weren't happy to replace it directly but wanted to send it off to apple to 'look at' leaving ms with a phone for a couple of weeks. I need a phone (with my current # for my job 24/7 so I haven't bothered.)

I've posted in elsewhere but curious to know the policy with replacing a cracked iPhone case. The back of mine has developed a crack running in from the vibrate switch.

help? :(

I've already visited there.

Anyway, I've called Apple and I've got an appointment with the Genius tomorrow morning. They said they will look at either replacing it or repairing. Hmm

Wouldn't mind but I was there last night to pick up my no-longer-cracked Macbook

Well, I ended up with a new iPhone. Pretty happy actually. Was a little nervous though because the Genius said he had to check if it was able to be replaced under their warranty
