I had a friend who tried helping me jailbreak my iphone using ibrickr. Everything was going fine, ibrickr said that it was modifying the phone and it would be done in 5 minutes. Well, when nothing happened after 15 minutes, we restarted both ibrickr and the phone like it said to do. When the phone turned back on, the apple logo popped up like normal, then a black background with scrolling white text came up. It was scrolling so fast we couldn't read what it said. So we figured we would restore it on itunes, only itunes doesn't recognize the iphone anymore.

We have NO idea what to do now...can anybody help me please?!

1. Put your iphone in the dock, with the USB cable disconnected from your computer.

2. Make sure the phone is off (The only way I got the phone to turn off is to hold the power button + the home button for like 15 seconds)

3. Once you know the phone is off, press and hold the HOME button then plug in the USB cable to your computer, keep holding the HOME button the whole time.

4. Next it should put It should now show the sync logo on your iphone and it should say "connect to itunes".

5. Now restore your phone, and you should be GOOD TO GO!

iPhone help needed PLEASE !!!!!!!!

Your welcome my friend, nice to know it worked for you....
It hasnt worked for me :( and im really stuck

i borrowed my iphone to a friend while his was being repaired, and while in his possession he decided to try and install real player on it, now i know real havnt brought out a version compatible with the iphone .. or i would already have it

he used winSCP over wireless to access the folders inside the iphone ... so he told me, then he copied real into one of the folders, then tried to install it, causing my phone to act pretty much like a brick,

when i turn it on all i get is an apple logo, nothing else

Ive tried to connect it to my win xp proffesional comp and itunes doesnt recognise it actually my computer no longer recognises it, i cant seem to boot the phone up in dfu mode, nor will ziphone or brickr recognise it .... i dont know where to turn to ... can any body lend me there words of wisdom please

thanks

1-Press and hold the 'power/lock' button and the 'home' button symultaniuosly until the phone turns off
2-Start iTunes in yor PC
3-While pressing the home button connect it to the dock (plugged to your computer). The phone will start.
4-Keep pressing the home button while the apple logo appears, next the 'connect to itunes' logo will apear

Re: iBrickr

Thank you all for your Replies, my phone is now sorted:

I did try ibrickr, and i found it awkward to to use.

after i restored my phone i used ZiPhone

it was very simple to use and unlocked and jailbreaked my phone in under 2 mins

fantastic bit of software !
