Well today is Monday and I got my phone on Friday like everyone else, and its crapped out already, not to mention it had a dead pixel. All of sudden this evening I lost my signal, and it kept happening to the point where I could no longer get a signal either wifi or edge. So then i rebooted a few times, then it started saying "iPhone needs to be repaird goto apple.com/support" So then I call apple, the tech tells me to restore it, we try and now it wont even restore. It errors out before properly restoring, thus leaving me with a nice paper weight for now. Because it wont even boot up now. So tomorrow I have to drive all the way back to the apple store, with no guarantees they have any replacements, because the website says they are out of stuck.

Sorry for the long rant, but I am rightfully angry.

I'm sorry to hear that! Hopefully for the rest of us the reliability of the phone will prove somewhat more robust than your experience!

sorry to hear this. unfortunately, it is electronics and despite all measures of quality assurance, some things just go wrong. hopefully, they'll get you a new one.

best of luck. I did an exchange today. I can tell you that they told me they were all out and than 1 hour later the store manager called saying they had one. Also if you have a MacBook take it with you so you can reactivate in the store.

I bought one of the first mac book pro's out, and the forums were full of sick, dead, and not up to par products. Most people hunt for a forum when they are in need of help, or to gripe about a problem they are having. Other then things the iphone does not do, there are not a whole lot of issues I see, very, very encouraging

Sim Card issues

My iPhone worked great for 2 days. Than suddenly it couldnt access the EDGE network anymore. Now AT&T and Apple are saying it is a SIM card issue.

Clean the SIM card, might fix it!

My connection kept dying, got either no service or bad sim messages after a short while. After few reboots I took the sim card out and it was covered with some sticky goo. Not sure if it went in with the SIM card or got on the SIM from inside the phone but cleaning it fixed it! It's been 1+ days now w/ no issues...

You know you can call the store and talk to them before you drive out there, right?
