macOS iPhone dev center no .Macs allowed

Just tried to sign in to the new iPhone dev center and I get

Mac accounts can no longer be used as Apple ID accounts for this application. Please create a new Apple ID using a different email account to access this application.

What gives ?

I get the same thing. That's really weird especially when we pay for .Mac accounts.... Must be a glitch in the system and hasn't been fixed yet.

With the third party support coming up, it sounds like they've tapped Microsoft to license Passport for the site.

Now even Apple is not using .Mac for anything serious. Heh. Must really suck to be in the .Mac division inside Apple, no one would like you in or out of Apple.

It's gotta be a bug. I can still get into the Leopard dev center with my .Mac Apple ID.

They made me change my password and the NDA changed recently.

Its odd that they don't take .mac accounts. They are quite happy with my gmail account.
