Hey guys. I signed up as an iPhone developer on Sunday and still haven't received my box of stuff. How long did it take to get yours?

You've been misinformed. There is no box of stuff. This is the internet age.

You should be able to log on to the developer web site and everything you need is there.

Wow... "box of stuff"

I think that apple believes that people who sign up for the developer program are smart enough to understand that the "box of stuff" theoretical, its a software package, meaning its a bundle of software that is put into one download.

Just a small question, do you have any coding experience?

Whenever apple has that image of a box on their store it always means that its a digital download and not a physical box. What were you expecting?

When I joined ADC in 2003, I *did* get a box of stuff. And every month I'd receive new CDs to keep my box up to date. I think it's fair to expect the same from the iPhone programme if Apple shows a box on the site.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. When I joined their developer program circa 1984-1985, I got some 3.5" single-sided diskettes. I don't expect them any more.

That was ADC which cost significantly more. Heck, I got a T-shirt when I joined. The iPhone dev program is only $99. It just doesn't make much sense.

Now that the cheaper Mac Developer Program has replaced the ADC Memberships, I don't believe you get a box of stuff with that either. And I seem to recall, even with the ADC Memberships, that they had recently put a stop to monthly DVDs and such.

I used to get shirts and CDs with the cheap student plan too. Not sure if they still do that.

I've been programming for 6 years. Just a small question, how did you relate me expecting an ADC box (see other posts) to me having no coding experience?

Well on this forum many people ask some for lack of a better word stupid questions, and most them about signing up for the developer program and most of them have never written one line of code in their life.
