Hello,

I'm interested in developing for the iPhone platform. Only problem is that my parents are opposed to me pursuing a career in programming and thus any interest I show in the subject has to be kept secret, otherwise bad things will happen at home.

Now I've done some free-lance work already and was able to avoid my parents knowing by routing payments through a Paypal account and then directly into my banking account. The iPhone Developer program, however, doesn't allow me to be so discreet. I plan on registering as an individual to avoid all the paperwork needed to start a business. Before I do so, I'm wondering if anyone who's already gone through the process can give me answers to these following questions:

  • Does Apple send any mail to you related to ADC?
  • If my iTunes account info is registered with a fake name and I bill it under my real name, which one would show up as the seller on the app page?
  • How does Apple send you the profits made from any apps developed? Is it wired directly into your account or do they mail you a check?
Thanks guys!

Simply to answer the questions...
I have never received anything in the mail.

If you are not 18, you can not legally enter the development agreement with Apple. If you are over 18 and live in the US, you can create a LLC to not have your name listed.

Apple direct deposits / wires money to a bank account.
