I’ve had this issue probably since iPhone 12 and it is starting to get more and more annoying. While using the phone normally it will dim after 10-15 minutes. My brightness still on full but if I toggle it down I won’t see any impact on brightness until probably 70% or so. It usually happens for example after using Twitter\X or even when opening the camera to take videos. It happens mainly outdoor but also in doors. I tried every suggestion such as turning off auto brightness, white point, True Tone, etc. nothing helps. Like I said it’s been like this every year since iPhone 12, 13, 14 and now about to set up the 15. Is this normal? Could it be that I have some sort of an app that has and issue and when I move from phone to phone it keeps this problem as well?

If the phone starts to overheat it will dim the brightness.
Yes understood but is that normal that my phones overheat so fast from normal usage and been like this over the past 3 phones. I assume that if that was a wide issue I’d see many more postings about it.

Those moments--when I am out in Full-Sun brightness for any length of time--is when the screen ultimately dims.

I understand the reason, but I cannot fathom the rationale 🤷‍♂️
