The phone slipped from my arm rest into a cup of fruit, with juice from pineapples and peaches in it. The top, 1/6th portion of the phone was submerged into it for a few seconds, until I noticed. I pulled it out and everything was working just fine. After a few seconds, finger gestures wouldn't work and you could only select things. Now the bottom half of the screen doesn't work, while the top half does, and the phone constantly turns off and on. I tried turning it off, but after 5 seconds the white/silver apple pops up for a few seconds, then it turns off, then the apple, etc. The water indicator is still white.
Has anyone had dealings with juice from actual fruit and the iphone? Do the common heat/air drying techniques work? (phone just continuously restarts)
Or should I just go to the apple store and say that the screen is half defective, because that problem is widely known?
