Iphone disabled after screen replacement

I just had the screen replaced on my Daughters iphone 6 plus, the phone was not working for quite awhile due to a cracked screen. After the repair, the phone says that it is disabled please connect to itunes. But when I connect to Itunes on my computer, a message pops up saying that the phone is locked and I need to enter the passcode. The phone is disabled, gives me no options at all. I have tried rebooting in numerous ways. Different variations of the power/ home button combinations. I get the same messages every time. The phone has never been synced to itunes before, or backed up to icloud from what I can tell when I sign on to Icloud through my computer with her apple ID & password. I don't care if we lose everything on the phone at this point, as long as it works. Any help would be appreciated. We paid a lot of money for the screen repair, this is frustrating.

You probably did not have the screen replaced by Apple. This is a problem many folks have run into by having the screen replaced by someone other than Apple. Please read the following article.

It isn't a problem if you have the screen repaired by a third party perse. The quality of the screen is the important part. Don't buy the cheapest option cause they are usually crap. Make sure you get at least three months warranty on the repair.
The article relates only to the touch ID home button function. If the repair store replaced the home button they don't know what they are doing.....

I have same problem with 5c.

grand niece entered passcode wrong 6 times now disabled.

with cracked screen did she enter code and it did not work due to cracked screen?

I am told the apple store can reset passcode.
my grand niece older sister did same thing on a 6s but apple store removed/reset passcode.

We are going apple store saturday with the 5c try remove passcode.

Glad to report apple store reset the whole phone for free!

One very happy grand niece now.
