It's not a house, it's a home.
Hi,

This just started happening. It happend in two different places that I have connected to via wifi dozens of times before.

I connect to WiFi (unsecured)...all is well.

I put iPhone to sleep for more than 1 minute. I awake it and it just stays on Edge...Usually after a few seconds it re-connects to WiFi, but it no longer does this.

I've restarted my phone and routers and nothing is working...

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

The exact same thing is happening to me! And, it is constant. I regularly travel to a couple of places where I have already set up a Wi-Fi connection. And as of three or four weeks ago, the phone has stopped connecting automatically (it stays on Edge). When I go to settings to see what's going on, Wi-Fi is OFF!!!!!

Have you updated your iPhone to 1.1.2? I know it may seem obvious to do that but you might not have for reasons like jailbreaking. When I had my iPod touch with 1.1.1 it used to do what yours is doing now. With 1.1.2 it is all fixed (plus the battery life is better too). Hope my suggestion helps.:)

Yeah, that's usually my first move...BUT, as you say, I am just concerned about my unlock and jailbreak, etc...I will do it if all else fails.

Fingers crossed for this then!!!
