I thought the whole point of a dock was to easily slide in the phone for charging/syncing and easily slide it out again when you need to leave or make a quick call.

I recently bought the original iphone dock because it didn't come with the used iphone I bought, and I must say I am rather disappointed with it.

Whenever I try to get the phone out of the dock, the whole dock comes up with it because the "connector" is so firmly in there. And when putting it in you have to slide it all the way in for it to connect.

I really don't want to tape the dock to the desk, but I may have to. Anyone found a solution?

I guess there is no easy way to get it out. But im glad the phone is securely in there, just in case someone tips it over and falls over the edge of a table.

But if you tipped it over and it fell on the floor and the screen smashed? Versus it just remaining stuck in the dock hanging.
