It looks nice in the dock. But I have a problem...
Remember during the keynote when the iPhone was revealed how Steve made such a big deal about the placement of the speakers for conference calling/being on the speaker phone? They are place on the bottom of the iPhone so the sound doesn't become muffled when the phone is laying flat.
Well, if you ask me, they are in a piss poor place, because it would be badass if you could use the speaker phone function when the iPhone is docked.

What I meant is that we already had seen pictures of the dock, so knew what it would look like

If docked, couldn't one run the speakerphone through your mac's speakers and iChat mic?

Well we used to get the dock, the wall charger, and a belt clip case. Of course, the belt clip case is how I broke me 3rd Gen. Warranty replaced it though, and I bought a better case.
Or since the dock would perfectly align the phone with it (due to the connector), they could just put the holes in the dock to keep the sound moving out of the dock. I dont see how this would really muffle the phone... except now the speakers are sitting on your desk... maybe you could drill holes in your desk too.

Yeah, I think it is just cheaper to make the white dock... that way we can have it for free with our phone.
