Hi,
Even though I checked the checkbox to make my iPhone appear in the Finder sidebar over wifi nothing happens. It worked perfectly with Mojave (in iTunes) with my iMac and Macbook Air and it stopped working when I installed Big Sur in both...
Does it work for you ? And if yes could you help me ?

Thanks a lot ! As I use Music sync, that's very annoying to always plug my iPhone into my Mac...

Thanks Wildsky, I already tried it yesterday (and lost all my Privacy settings btw). Additionally, iPhone shows up correctly when I plug it, the problem only occurs when it is unplugged.

Which iOS and Big Sur versions are you on? It works for me via wi-fi on iOS 14.7.1 and Big Sur 11.5.1.

That’s also the latest versions… And I did a clean install of Big Sur (from Mojave) on both Macs last week…
And it worked with iOS 14 and Mojave, but no more since I have updated the system…

I don’t know what to do…

Like @WildSky it works perfectly for me for both my iPhone 12 and 11 which are running 14.7.1. I'm also on Big Sur 11.5.1.

You can try rebooting your router, turning WiFi off then on again, rebooting your Mac and so on. Another thing to try is switch between 2.4 GHz and 5 Ghz if your router supports both bands.

Also helps if you tell us which model iPhone you have.

I’ll try, but I’m note sure it will fix the problem, as Continuity features and Music Library sharing works perfectly, which should mean my iPhone is « seen » by the Macs… right ?

All of that works through iCloud though. How about trying this:

Open the Finder on your Mac and select "Airdrop". With your phone close by, does Airdrop "see" it?

I have this issue as well. I think most people here don't have the issue because it only happens on a clean Big Sur install of the latest version.
Definitely a bug, but unfortunately, because pretty much nobody uses this feature anymore, there isn't much info about it and it seems unlikely it will get acknowledged and fixed by Apple.

Thanks @PCFan! That's a good clue, why everybody isn't in the same situation... I'll immediately report it to Apple. Do you have additional information I could give them in Feedback Assistant (or a feedback number I could link) ?
