My iPhone isn't turning on. I don't understand what has happened to it. Prior to dinner, every application ran as usual.. but after I finished, it refused to turn on. What a dessert.

I've tried:
a) plugging the device into the dock (for fear that the battery may have drained), but the iPhone doesn't make the chirping noise, nor does it turn on the screen to show the battery meter.

b) pressing the Home, Lock, and Mute/Unmute keys and switches.

c) whimpering to myself loudly in hopes that Apple/AT&T Customer Service would not kick me in the behind for having installed applications on my iPhone. (and for using it as an iPod without service)

Questions:
Does anyone know what's wrong with it?

I bought it from the nearby AT&T retail store, but i'd much rather go through Apple Service (in fear that AT&T will try to screw me over). Who should i contact for the warranty exchange?

Do I need to have proof of an AT&T subscription in order to succesfully exchange my unit?

Please reply to me as soon as possible.. i'm worried sick about my iPhone.
Thanks!
