i was loving the ability to to skip, pause and play tracks with my earphones. One day i put them in and the right one is making some sort of static noise at higher level volumes. the time before that using the them with my iphone nothing happened. i really dont think i blew them and i have only used them on the iphone.

do you think apple will switch them out for me or do i have to buy new ones?

i am now using my ipod earphones which suck without the ability to skip and pause.

the ac plug for my iphone stopped working suddenly, and i made a genius bar appointment at a local apple store and brought it in. they exchanged it for a new one right away, no questions asked. took 3 minutes total. i think you'll have no problem getting a new one - just go to the closest apple store...

The button on my earphone seems to not work all the time. I went running twice and the button stopped working both times. But then sometime after the run, it started working. I love how all I have to do is pinch that thing to skip songs.

I'm beginning to think that maybe a little bit of sweat got in there and shorted it out both times. But that seems like a real poor design considering it will be used for running by many people. Maybe it's a defective one?

Mine just did something similar. The left bud started making a crackling/static noise. It was fine the last time i listened to it. Now it is crackling. Gonna make a swipe by the Genius Bar to see if they are feeling generous.

Thats exactly the same thing that happened to me. Let me know how it goes or I'll let you know whoever gets there first.

Same problem here.

I've had my iphone for a week and all of a sudden, the right earpiece started distorting. I noticed that it even distorts at mid levels with mellow piano tunes. So, I went to the apple store and told them my situation.

Because I purchased my 8gb Iphone from an AT&T store, they told me that I could only visit this following website:

depot.info.apple.com
:mad::mad:

update: I went to the website to find no support for the iphone, so I called apple support and explained my situation. They told me that it what the apple reps in the store had told me to do was odd. They were to replace my earpiece on the spot. The guy in the support line told me that he could also make sure to send me a new earpiece set via mail, which I prefer, since I had such a bad experience in the apple store:mad::mad:

New update:
great news, it is the next day and I already received the new set of headphone. I am wowed, thanks for the customer service apple

Anywho, I will keep updating to see what happens.
