I think someone who has access to the iPhone COUGH COUGH should just run a quick speed test on the EDGE network to see if it is bearable (not that it matters)

I too am interested and would like to know the speed on the EDGE network for the iPhone.

yea I would like to hear this also, and I think it does matter.

I know posting when nothing has been said is stupid, but i want to clarify something. In the most recent interviews with Mr. Jobs he stated that apple developed its own cache technology for the iPhone which is not present in any other mobile phone. So while EDGE may not be fast, it may look like 3G speeds because the iPhone is a real computer and if they built a cache technology specifically for EDGE speeds then i think it will make a huge difference

I thought AT&T's 3G coverage is too little, so maybe that's why they sacrificed the iPhone to adopt EDGE.

Would anyone recommend getting one now? I'm just so tempted to get one! But not a big fan of AT&T
