Iphone email not removing mail from server

I have comcast.net and have a comcast email address. Using IOS5 now with cloud and an iMac.
Whenever I get email on the phone and view it and delete it, it still shows up on the mac when i check email. I even set the settings to remove from server on iPhone.

ANy advice? Been trying to figure this out for awhile now.

Are you running POP or IMAP e-mail?
