iPhone email questions

Ok so I have a couple of issues with my email on my iPhone, mostly my gmail account, but that is just because I do not recieve many messages on my yahoo or .mac.

1. I receive quite a few messages that say "This message contains no data" in the body of the email. I can use Safari and go to gmail online and find the email and sure enough it does contain information.

2. After my inbox is empty there is an option that states "Load 50 More Messages... -1messages total, 0 unread" . The number to load and total and unread vary. Once I click it, the message goes away but nothing more is loaded.

3. Click on email in inbox and get message in body "Content not yet downloaded" so I refresh and still nothing.

I do not know if this is user error on my part, problem with my phone, or an incompatibility with gmail and iphone email.

Any ideas?
I am starting to debate keeping it . I absolutly love the phone, it is amazing but it is a lot of money if these are hardware/software problems already. Also my Safari crashes quite regularly, meaning I will be looking at a web page then all of the sudden Safari will close and return to the home screen. And no I am not hitting the home button on accident

I get a lot of those email errors with the message not downloading on my gmail and a separate pop3 account. I am sure it is something that can be fixed with software update. It is a common problem.

I found it funny this morning after I checked all of my emails on my iPhone the same message "Load 50 More" poped up and said that I had 2,147,483,628 unread messages!!!
