Ok. I would call ATT and have them answer this, however, I cannot use the phone at work for personal use.

I have a family plan, I am the main number. I have an iPhone.
I have unlimited family texting.

On my online statement, it says I have sent 11 out of UNLIMITED integrated texts. Hmm... I only pay for the iphone plan with so called "200 included". At the ATT store Saturday, the rep told me I had to pay extra for iPhone unlimited even if I had family unlimited. Hmm.

underneath this it says 200 messages, 0 used.

What the F*** is the deal.

DO I HAVE FREE TEXTS WITH MY UNLIMITED FAMILY TEXTS, OR NOT. JESUS!!!

Trust me, I would call but I work from 6:50-5:00.

does anyone have this same plan situation, or a real answer!!!

I'm not in your situation, but I will tell you what I learned while switching my plan over.

The iPhone "plan" is just a marketing term. Within AT&T/Cingular's system, each piece of the service is actually broken down into the pieces, ie. Data Plan, Texting Plan, Number of Minutes, etc..

Some folks on here have dropped the 200 Text Minutes and added the Unlimited by calling and having it done for only a few dollars more / month. If you ask for the "iPhone Package" with Unlimited texting it costs more.

It sounds like they forgot to drop one of the pieces of the billing plan and that's how the computers decided to charge you.

Do a search here on MR for the Unlimited Texting to see how others handled it. I never used texting before now, and I might move to unlimited text too.

Good Luck...

All iPhone "plans" come with text - you cannot drop it from your plan. If you have an additional text plan on there you are probably seeing the 200 as an non-removable line item on the bill.

The real question is - how much are you paying for your unlimited text plan? It should be no more than the cost of the upgrade from the 200 plan.

well there are 5 people on my family text plan, 29.99 a month, thats 5.99 a person... so i am paying an extra $20 for data I guess.
