I have an iPhone X. I've read through many articles and reviews about the 2017 iPhones - I'm not sure where I read it, but I've seen that, apparently, wireless charging can be upgraded by Apple to be "fast wireless charging" through a software update at a later time. Is this legitimate? Has Apple gone on record in saying this, or is it a misunderstanding/miscommunication from certain writers?
Has anyone else read/heard anything? I'm really interested in this, as the slow wireless charging is the biggest issue holding me back from buying wireless chargers for my new X. Even though wireless charging is still a nice and convenient feature at this point, I don't feel the push to invest in wireless chargers when an iPad brick (or USB-C) charges iPhones significantly faster.
