Lol, I only just realized this today. Whenever I make a call from my JB'ed iPhone, it decides it wants to get my emails... Hmm.

All my Fetch settings and everything are off and everything, its so weird!

I don't really care that much, but does anyone else have this bug??

Hey that's weird! I have this bug too. I have the original iPhone, and whenever I try accessing the contact list it lags, then vibrates. Afterwards, I get a badge on my mail app.

It may be when I access contacts as well, it's just I make a call when I access contacts so I may not notice.

It's so strange!

Sometimes my phone sleeps through the fetch interval and then only does it when I open a data connection like a call or internet. Happens about once a day. It's not every time I make a call however.

Did you guys check the mail application? Apparently mine was also using the fetch feature (which caused it to fetch when i checked address book). I disabled it and now I don't have any issues w/ calling.

Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Fetch New Data > Advanced > Gmail (or w/e client you use) > then change the Fetch to Manual.

It worked for me.

Didin`t work for me

The mail process opens even when you are not using ou clicking the icon
