hi

i need to put in some files on my iphone to get data working on 02 pay as you go.

but i can't seem to get access using cyberduck. i ticked install SSH when jailbreaking. i enter the iphone's ip address (which begins in 10, would that be a problem?), user name root and the password alpine, but i can't gain access: "I/O Error: Connection Failed".

any ideas as to where i'm going wrong (because i don't really know what i'm doing!!)

thanks.

Make sure you choose SFTP not FTP as connection method. Hope that helps.

i installed openssh from installer and then all went well. i now have internet over gprs. mail doesn't work though but that seems to be a restriction of pay as you go on o2.

i've found you have to use root as username and alpine as password. some places say dottie but it never worked for me.

In iPhone software versions 1.0.2 and earlier, the default root password is dottie.

In iPhone software versions 1.1.1 and 1.1.2, the default root password is alpine.
