iphone for the UK from ebay

Has anyone bought and iphone from ebay to use in the UK.

I;ve currently got 6 months to run on my orange contract and i may also be moving to north america from 6 months but i would like an iphone.

I dont really want to get tided into another contract.

Does anyone have any advice or got an iphone from ebay?

save your money ! buy from apple and unlock the dam thing yourself - much much cheaper

its not the unlocking issue - i think ebay as i dont want to sign up to an 18month o2 contract

buy from apple.com/uk use a £23 off money voucher - once it arrives plug in and unlock - easy

no 18 month needed - apple will not chase you about not hooking up with 02
