3D chess game via SMS between two people. Person A makes a move and the app sends the move to the other person playing. That person opens his chess app and sees the move then makes his. And back and forth. 
Nope just throwing out an idea to you. In other-words start working on 3D modeling for simple stuff and you will be ahead of the game.
This is true, though speaking as a non-coder i cant imagine the ai for chess is particularly simple lol.
