iphone gets hot when using some apps

hi all,
I was playing with the MotionX-GPS app and running it for 10 min I pulled the
iphone out of its belt holster and it was very warm.

I've also notice this when using Pandora.

Is this normal or do I need to take it in?

Pretty normal...If use Skype for 10-15 min it gets pretty hot.

Mine gets pretty hot from time to time as well, I wouldn't worry about it.

It does seem to be normal behavior, but I am still worried about the heat degrading the battery life.
