p.s. i love the fact that this article says smart phones are twice as popular in the uk as the US. SURELY that means apple will release their new product in the place where it will be most popular first?!lol
United Kingdom — Population 60,776,238 (July 2007 est.)
United States — Population: 301,139,947 (July 2007 est.)
seeing that the population of the US is 4.95 x larger than the UK - so the US has twice as many smart phone users.
so SURELY this means Apple is releasing a product were there are more potential customers.
No, it's releasing in its home country. Apple continually craps on its European market when it's really not appropriate. There are more mobile users here than you'd think. I can't find my source but for how many people that exist in the US versus how many do here, the average is MUCH higher here. Almost everybody has a mobile phone here and renews their contracts regularly. This is not as often the case in the US, where the numbers are surprisingly low.United Kingdom — Population 60,776,238 (July 2007 est.)

Yeah, the article had a hopeful tint to it.![]()
Who knows? The UK is always waaay behind America when it comes to technology being released. Maybe Apple doesn't love us as much?![]()
