I guess you're gay since the iPhone learns how you type and what you really want to say, for example, my iPhone and any iPhone new out of the box, when typing "fafsa", it does come up with fads. You must type "fags" an awful lot for it to learn you wanted "fags." I think you're the homophobic. Sorry buddy
 
I'm pretty sure the auto-correct takes into account your own personal vocabulary.

I'm just saying...

(It also seems to be significantly less effective in the latest OS release. I seem to recall it was a lot better in the past at matching up with my own usage. I get the idea that perhaps they reduced some weight value.)
 
Sounds like you exposed yourself, rather than Apple. The dictionaries are modified by words you use frequently.
 
What's fafsa?

Just out of idle curiosity, I played around with this. I could get quite a lot of things to auto-correct to Fahd (wow, are Apple in the pay of the Saudi's? the phone is probably anti-semitic as well as homophobic) but the only thing I could get to correct to Fags was "fsfs", whatever that means.

PS. I know. I need to get a life.

PPS. Comments about anti-anything in this post are jokes.

Um, it's like the n-word. Some people have the right to say it. Some don't. So, it's damned if you do and damned if you don't for an auto-correct list.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's noticed this. I completely agree.
 
My iPhone decided it wanted to correct himm (i hit the M key one too many times) to Himmler.

Ironically, the message I was typing to one of my Jewish friends. Needless to say, I laughed.

because fag or fags is seen as homophobic slang to put someone or a group of people down as being gay when they are not.... therefore people see it as being homophobic....... me being british I see it as cigarette....... fag in a homophobic term is more an american thing I believe
 
Add supremacist to the list...auto correction of 'white' to 'White' in the middle of a sentence.
 
Add anti-semite to the list. I was typing "I need to get money from the bank" into my to do list and it autocorrected to "talk to the the jew-banker"

Uh, Apple publicly spoke out against Prop 8, the iphone is not homophobic....
