iPhone: how to select between words?

Hi!

I often have to add in a word between two other words. With iOS 18 I can only select a word to delete or to use the space bar to navigate. Both those options aren’t easy or quick. How can I simply press to place the cursor between 2 words?

Just long press on the area where you are typing, and it will show a magnified oval bubble of text above where you can easily reposition the cursor.
