Until yesterday I had iCloud enabled on my iPhone to sync everything (contacts, calendars, reminders...), but i just realized that it seems to have problems when syncing with iTunes. for example in the iCal of my macbook the events that i had added on my iphone didn't appear, and itunes shows a warning that since i had icloud enabled and syncing through itunes enabled too i might had duplicates (which in fact have already happened).

is this behaviour normal?

thanks in advance.

i'm afraid i have snow leopard...

That's it. Only Lion can sync with iCloud.

Your choices are:

1) Upgrade to Lion and sign in to iCloud.

2) Sync your things with some other service, like Google.

3) Turn off wireless syncing and only sync through iTunes, over USB. (I don't suggest this.)

You can still use wireless sync with no problems. It works the same way. I would suggest upgrading to Lion though, to allow everything to work seamlessly.
