iPhone in Europe

I am going to Europe this summer and i want to be able to use my iphone while im there. Im currently on O2 (UK) and i want to be able to call/receive calls at a decent price while in the EU, and still be able to use data roaming.
O2 charges £6/MB in Europe, so does anyone know of a good trans-EU phone/data plan i can get for one month in the summer to use with my iPhone?

Vodafone Ireland (on PAYG) give you the following on any of their Vodafone partner networks in the EU.

- Data for 1eur for 50mb per day.
- Receive calls for 79c as a one off connection fee (per call)
- Make calls at a local call rate (79c connection fee)
- Text messages are 25c afaik...
