Iphone In the UK Possible SP and Prices

Interesting but I don't think these price plans are representative of much, more likely to be the company trying to attract traffic to there site. Personally I think the iPhone will be available through all network providers or at least the major one's at launch............

Available Sim Free interests me, since I use Pay as You Go and don't plan on getting a contract. Wonder how much that'll be though!
What prices?
All they've done is listed the iPhone with standard O2 and Vodafone tariffs, there is no mention of the cost of the iPhone nor any special tariffs for it.
They've just listed it to generate traffic and have it in place (in search engines) when details are announced.

id love an iPhone, but the lack of 3G kinda puts me off. but when i come to think of it, i dont use that much 3G on my current phone... i cant wait for it to come out in UK. hopefully its near the US launch date!
I'm with you notsofatjames! I don't use 3G all that much either, but looking at the capability of the iPhone, I would certainly like to see 3G when it hits UK shores.
It's interesting in the link from the OP that there are two SPs listed (namely Vodafone and O2), plus Sim Free. I'm with the everyone else that this is probably just a web-traffic ploy
I read that apple didn't want the iphone subsidized by the phone companies, if this is true then sim less should cost the same as a contract one. However the cost for data transfer for internet access would cost a fortune each month.
That sucks. I've never 'paid' for a phone ever. I always get one free with a contract, or on upgrade each year.

Wow, if its just £40 a month for 500minutes and 500 texts then im sold. I basically pay the same now but with less texts. A couple of hundred quid up front for the iPhone on this contract is hardly a fortune. I would be perfectly happy with this if it was true.
I was on that deal, just moved to 3. I get 1000 texts, 300 minutes, free MSN messenger, £5 downloads, free email - all for £17.50 a month. I also got a free 3G phone. 3G is the only way to make good use of mobile internet. GPRS and EDGE are useless.
This'll suit me for 18months anyway. If it comes out on 3, I will upgrade, but to be honest, I am paying such a sweet deal and getting so much that I would rather wait til rev B anyway!
It's not going to be available on '3'. They use only 3G phones, which the iPhone isn't.
IIRC here in the UK the only company to operate an EDGE compatible network is Orange so I wouldn't be suprised if they end up a major partner. Unfortunately they also have no decent data plans to speak of.

It's no secret that Apple plan a 3G version, and given the time to go before the European release, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that the first iPhone we see here will be a 3G model. Fingers crossed.
3G really isnt much of an issue for me. These days im either
a) at my house
b) at university
c) at my girlfriends
and all of them have WiFi, completely negating the need for 3G and some.
So while 3G would be nice, id rather take the thinner form factor, longer batter life and WiFi.

I'm 99% certain that won't be the case - of course we'll know by the time the Americans have the iPhone because if a 3G one is coming to us it would have had to be put in for certification by then
