Will Mr. Cook be able to make the tough decisions and drive the company toward continued success?

Mr. Cook mentioned a "product transition" earlier and I can only assume that has to do with the iPhone.

I wonder what the future holds, perhaps another game changing event is eminent to solidify Mr. Cook as the new CEO of Apple!

Perhaps something like IOS device comes in sizes of 4.5', 7', and 9.7'! You can use it on any network (ATT, Verizon, TMobile, Sprint, etc)

Some renaming due to changes... consolidating ipod touch, iphone, and ipad into one line! (think macbook pro.. 13, 15, 17 (yeah I saw this somewhere on this site for ipad!))

Perhaps I am just crazy, but had to add my 2 cents! Thoughts?

I'm going to say you are crazy! Macbook lent itself to a descriptor for an entire line as they were all laptops, what on earth would you call a line that comprises of a media play, a phone and a tablet?

There is no way that anything is going to be renamed. That's just creating confusion and pulling the rug from underneath SJ has produced. And product transition? That's surely just a term for the natural evolution of the product line, not a wholesale change to something else.

I'm fairly sure that it's been said that Apple consider a 4.5" device too large for a phone (and I certainly agree, 4" is the top end of what I consider truly pocketable) and I can't see a 7" tablet in the immediate future- but that's not to say that it may never happen.

Right now, Apple needs to be seen as "business as usual" not rocking the boat with name changes and outlandish new devices. IMO.

did i hear transition
if i did hear that right then it sounds good and just in time 5 years intel is more then one can take

A AMD Bulldozer in the next desktop Mac's and AMD llanos in the laptops and of course AMD in the iphone too and the MacPros get Opterons

but it too gives the opportunity to bring finally the "think different" back to Apple
