Not knowing when I might get an iPhone (not this weekend) or a new Mac (new iMac or Mac Pro revision), I decided to clean up my Mac starting this past weekend. Using the 1.66 Mini I bought as a holdover last fall till Leopard, etc., I started with:

iTunes

- will follow with:

iPhoto (film rolls and albums)
Address Book (in serious need)
Mail (not so bad)
Safari Bookmarks (horrible)

in an effort to be iPhone and new Mac ready/worthy.

Wanting to eventually rip my DVD library as well for use with my :apple:tv as well and with a backlog of photos and graphics and imovie files/quicktime digital camera movies, etc etc, I decided I really needed this digital cleanup.

Three days or so in now, a couple hours here and there and my iTunes library is about one-third combed for missing tag data, duplicate files and missing album art. That's out of 7400 music tracks. It could also use some serious playlist deletion as well as some newer more diverse ones.

Finished mine last night! Yaaaaaay
Album art & film rolls/albums were painful but I feel so neat & tidy now.

(Also did complete BUs, updates and synced with .mac - I'm ready!)
