Does anyone know if o2 or apple will do an insurance plan for the iphone incase it's lost, stolen or damaged?

I think as discussed on previous threads we are not sure if the regular O2 insurance will cover it yet, you can find details on O2's website. However another user on here advise me to contact my home insurance, I did and it adds about 80p onto my insurance per month.

Hi, this isn't an add - just my experiences with insurance. I have independent insurance with http://www.cusc.co.uk and they are very good. I will be transferring the plan i have now on my N95 over to my iPhone on the 9th.

hope this helps

Does your home insurance cover the calls made on the phone if it is stolen?

That's my biggest concern.

I recently had a mobile phone stolen, and they made over £150 of phone calls within a couple of hours of stealing the phone. I had no insurance, so I had to pay the bill. I'll be looking for insurance before I buy an iPhone!

you should try cpp phonesafe. they cover u upto a £1000 on phonecals and cover u for loss damage accidently and water, theft, globally too not jus in uk. check em out its only £5.99 a month

They do the standard cover, which covers theft and accidental damage, either £5 or £7.50 a month I think. Probably better to read up on that.
