Hi guys i got the iphone 2 weeks ago and i was wondering if theres insurance for the iphone. like complete insurance, such as if i lose the iphone the insurance will cover me and give me a new one or somthing. Thanks guys
The best option out there now is going with your homeowners insurance. I have State Farm and they're covering my iPhone under a "Personal Articles Policy". This policy covers my phone for a little under $10 per year with no deductible. The policy covers ANYTHING that happens to it.![]()
state farm won't cover my iphone. what other insurance companys are there?
My homeowner's carrier won't cover it. I'm seriously considering changing homeowner's insurance companies so my wife and I will have our iPhones covered.
I'm also waiting for Safeware to determine whether they'll be offering coverage or not.
I have State Farm for my homeowners. Do you think it is better to just insure it thru them than getting the Apple Care?
what about squaretrade accidental dammage coverage?
Actually, that's not true unless you have a history of making claims regularly. In the past I've had to use my Liberty Mutual personal articles policy to replace camera equipment and didn't have my rates go up whatsoever. Now if you had 2 or 3 claims over a 2-3 year period, that's a different story. Even if one carrier raised your rates, you can always easily switch homeowners insurance to a different carrier.Just a side note. It may not be worth putting the phone under your home owners insurance because if you ever make a claim against your policy your rates will go up drastically. There is a rule of thumb that unless your claim is for a significant amount of money often it will cost you more to make a claim in the long run. Don't forget insurance companies share this info...
