Apologies if this has been endlessly talked about, but I was sat next to someone on the tube this morning who 'seemed' to be running the iPhone interface and OS on his O2 Xda.

He had the widget screen up, which seemed to work – saw him go to the weather widget. The menu bar was also ever present, with apple logo, wifi signal and volume icons. Also, he swiped the screen to lock –*allbeit with a stylus.

I am assuming it was a skin rather than a ported OS, but it looked pretty impressive.

I got the same thing on my Palm. Eather a skin or some launcher app. And, yeah, they do look pretty cool, because the UI was designed by Apple.
