Only if you use it in a place that charges for Wifi.

you just need to contact you carrier and check your data roaming charges...

You won't get charged for wifi use on free hotspots, but when you're not in reach of a hotspot the data roaming charges can get VERY high. Better not use data roaming unless you're 100% sure what it will cost you.
