I have a 1st Gen iPhone that I'm using for T-Mobile and have the $9.99 data/messaging plan. I can connect to the internet, use Safari, check my email, etc. in Marinette, WI and Menominee, MI but can't seem to do anything outside of this very limited area. Everywhere else says "cannot connect to internet" or something to that effect.

What is happening, why is it doing this, and how do I make it work everywhere? Currently I have epc.tmobile.com as APN, but I've also tried wap.voicestream.com

It only seems to work in those 2 cities. HELP!

try this

Try going into settings then safari and clear cookies, cache, and history. Then go in and reset your apn settings then type in this for the apn
internet2.voicestream.com. Hope that helps.

Yes! Finally! I tried epc.tmobile.com, wap.voicestream.com, but I hadn't tried that one. I'm kinda ashamed that it was that simple. I'll slink away now into the ether.
