HI Guys.

has anyone noticed that if you fill the iPhone 3G up with music the iPod app is unusable. i have a 16gb and my wife has the 8gb. when i set it to autofill i am unable to use the iPod. is just stalls.

thanks

I've noticed that sometimes the iPod app will take its time loading (16gig 3G here as well, just a gig free), but not that it just stalls and doesn't load. Mine just takes a few seconds.

I had a 3G 16 gb and filled it up till it only had less than half a gig of free space left. The iPod app does stall when launching. That's why I got a 3GS now ;)

It might be because with all the music you have on it. The music will slow down your 3G I don't know if the same happens with the 3GS.

I know it's kinda weird that the fuller it gets the slower it gets. I mean I thought that's one advantage that ssds have over hdds.

Doesn't happen to me on 2.2.1 and I have less than 200MB free on my 16GB iPhone 3G.

I think it's the crappy 3.x OS that is causing it.

My iPod app is very responsive and so is the rest of my iPhone.
