So I was playing a game a bit earlier and put my iPhone (which is 1 day old due to my old phone needing replacement under warranty) to sleep while in the game. When I went to wake it back up the screen flashed white and then went black. It did this twice, and then became completely unresponsive.

I attempted to do a hard 10-second reboot to no avail.

I plugged it in to the wall a few times, nothing. I plugged it into my MBP and it did not recognize it. So I went to restore it while it was plugged in to iTunes and it told me that it needed to be restored.

iTunes restored the settings, etc. all the while the screen stayed black. Unplugged it after the restore took it out of the case and tried to wake it up a few times. No response. Tried to do another hard reboot, nothing. Tried to call it from my girlfriends phone and while it rang on her end, nothing on the phone.

I searched around and can't find anything case that is exactly like mine.

Anyone have any suggestions before I make an appointment to have it seen?

EDIT: After letting my phone sit unplugged for about 45 minutes I attempted a hard reboot and it started working again. Most odd thing I have ever seen. Turned the phone off and on again because iTunes wasn't recognizing it and I am back to the same place except this time the phone won't start at all or sync with iTunes.

I guess I will let it set for another 45...

Yeah tried that, then took it to the Apple Store today and they replaced it without saying a word.
