I have been using my iphone since it came out with out any problems. I have firmware 1.1.1 with 3rd party apps. I used jailbreakme.com to jailbreak my phone. It has been find until now. When i connect it to my computer it is not reconfigzed nor does it show up as plugged in on my iphone. Also when i reset the phone it talks forever on the apple logo when starts shuttering. it is un usable. Any ideas on how to fix this?

well when your iphone is plugged in is itunes open. I know whenever i connect it to my mac i have to click itunes to get it to work . If something prepare it for recovery mode and restore it. By clicking the home and sleep/wake button at the same time for 10 seconds.

if "rebooting" your iPhone isn't helping, you might try "restoring" the phone.
this is done thru iTunes (there's a "restore" button on the main page once iTunes recognizes your phone). make sure you back up all the data/photos you want to save BEFORE you restore, otherwise it will be lost.
If you can't get iTunes to recognize your iPhone, it might be time for a call to Apple Care. something similar happened to me and they ended up replacing my iPhone, since then - it's all good.

Another idea...

There is a way to get iTunes to recognize your iPhone.

1) Power Down (Turn it OFF) and then plug it in to iTunes. If this does not work then...
2) With the iPhone plugged into iTunes...Press and hold the Home/Sleep buttons together until the Apple Logo shows, then...
3) This is where I can't remember exactly...but release the Sleep Key only and continue to hold the Home Key until iTunes sees the iPhone, then...
4) Release the home key once it sees it and do a restore.

The only thing Im not exact on is which key to release 1st...if the way I stated above does not work the release the home key and keep the Sleep Key pressed until iTunes see's it.

Hope this Helps...Good Luck
