I have a MacBook Pro running the newest version of Leopard and an old iPhone running 1.1.3.

When I plug it into my mac, it doesn't charge and isn't recognized. I tried downgrading iTunes but nothing worked. It's not the iPhone or my mac because I tried another iPhone that didn't work, but my iPhone 3G did.

The old iPhone only charges when It's off. Please help.

That only happened once with me, the iPhone wouldn't even charge when plugged into power outlet.
I simply restarted the iPhone (once or twice I think) and it fixed itself.
