Now if the new iPods end up being touch then apple will need to fix an issue that I've noticed with the iPhone...no physical control buttons. Its fine that the iPhone is like this because its not an iPod but most iPod users won't want to stare at the screen just to make a track change. There is a reason the shuffle is so popular. People want tactile controls they don't have to look at. People want to be able to throw it in a pocket or bag and be able to navigate songs still. The touch screen will be fun for a week but then people will start using it normally and will probably get annoyed.

Think that is why we have seen rumors of a touch screen video iPod and a smaller Nano with a click wheel.
Glad we only have to wait a few more days. :D

I still really doubt the new iPod will be totally touch screen mainly for this reason. I love my iPhone but it was easier to control my iPod while at the gym. But who knows, a few more days will tell....then the posts of "THE NEW IPOD SUCKS BECAUSE _________" can begin.

i am completely in love with the fact that i can skip tracks using the headphones...i hope this supposed ipod touch will have the same thing...

Werd. People who want to be able to watch videos full screen will have the "drawback" of non-tactile controls, while people who require tactile controls will be able to use the nano. It's a tradeoff. Pick which one you want more.

I heard that the new ipods will also come with safari and able to connect to wifi.
Is that true?
