Hey All,

I have had the Iphone 7+ since the week the phone came out, and ever since I purchased it have had some issues that I have been on apple chat numerous times, phone calls, and have made 4-5 3+ hour round trips for them to tell me they cant do anything since my phone doesnt have the issue when I am at the store.

I have had issues with the phone freezing up ALOT for 5 minutes or up to 1 or more hours at a time and cant shut the phone off or anything when it happens.

Is there anyone that can be contacted about this issue and trying to get a replacement phone? They are telling me I can get a replacement but will have to pay full price for the phone to be a replacement (which is absolutely ridiculous after i spent $1100 on the phone and applecare)

Hi,

A few reasons why freezing occurs. This could be caused by bugs, the phone needs to be updated or reupdated, low disk space or others. Could you share when the freezing occurs? Does it happen when using a certain app? Does it happen at specific instances?

In any case, a force restart could fix it up unless there's a stubborn software or hardware problem.

Most freezing is due to software issues. You can put your device into recovery mode by turning your device off, hold down the home button and connect it to a computer. Do no release the home button until iTunes detects it is in recovery mode and update your device. iTunes will download the full update file and overwrite system OS while preserving your data. If it doesn't solve your issue, use iTunes to create a encrypted backup and restore your iPhone. Then restore your backup.

Hello, thanks for the response! The freezer occurs all over the place - can be on the homescreen not doing anything, on spotify, on safari, just sending a text - has literally happened at all different times. Ive even had it happen on the lock screen just trying to unlock my phone.

I have been through the steps of completed resetting my phone as new about 8-10 times through apple and continue having the issue but they just wont do anything, and now my applecare has expired on it as of 2 days ago..

Hello, thanks for your response also! I have been through all of these steps numerous times, and they ALWAYS tell me to reset it as a new and dont do a backup to see if it works which it doesnt. I have reset my phone to new many many times and still have the same issue. Im just annoyed after spending $1100 on the phone with applecare and they wont do anything to fix/replace the dang phone.
