iPhone keeps freezing / locking up.

Hi.

I really really need help on this one. The thing is my iphone 2g (firmware 2.1, jailbroken) just keeps freezing or hangs, and to get it working again I have to hard reset it. It usually happens when:

- It's in standby-mode and a call comes or an SMS.
- When i'm using it and a call comes or an SMS.
- When I press the homebutton while it is in standby mode
- When I go back to slide to unlock "mode", og if I try to exit it.

And it happens often, and futhermore if it hangs once then it often takes 3-4 hard reset to get it to come back to a working state. It will often either hang on the apple logo OR hang on the slide to unlock screen.

I've tried restoring it multiple times with Pwnage and Quickpwn (same thing I know). I even read that if you restored it to an apple 2.1 it would keep its unlock but just loose it's jailbreak, so I tried that but the problem continued to happen.

When it is dead I can still ssh into it, but it will reboot it self after a while.

Does anyone know what to do? This is truly killing me, and I bought it England in April before they came to Denmark, so returning it is out of the question.

it then continues with the kernel_task errors.
Again any help will be GREATLY appreciated, this is annoying me to no end.

EDIT: I have tried restoring as a new iphone to avoid problems but that doesn't help the least. And i only have around 36-38 programs on it, and about 65 % of the space used.

Hope I'm not bothering anybody, but nobody has any idea what to do?

It would really mean a lot to me if I could get this fixed.

Since I live in Denmark would it be possible to somehow send it Apple in the UK? Or is that impossible?

I have the exact same issue, and would be extremely happy to get any more information from you that could help me on the way to solving this annoying issue.

Please let me know if there is any way that you know around this problem.

I have the same problem. I have looked for ever on the web for a solution. I have one question for all that have the same problem. The touchscreen is in perfect conditions? If you got a crack like me, that can be the issue. I have one small crack on the top getting to the speakerhole. I think that may be the problem, since there is no aparent solucion on all the web for it. I dont know haoy the touchplanel really works, but I think this is the problem. I have tried everything. Formating it, opening it compleatly and cleaning it prefectly, y have used it without jailbreak using the correct simcard. I think this time is not a apple software problem. But, i realy dont want to buy a panel before I know more certain this may be the problem.
