iPhone keeps saying "Unable to Download Item"

Multiple times a day, my iPhone 6 says "Unable to download item" with the options "Done" and "Try Again". I have no idea what it's trying to download, but it's getting on my nerves. I've hit both options but it still pops up. Any ideas on how to solve this?

this happens to me sometimes downloading apps and media

i have to go to iTunes or app store and go to downloads and click the stop button/circle a couple times and force it to retry the download and it eventually after 2 tries or so works

clicking the circle in the app store seems to work better then clicking the app on the spring board to get it to download

What I'm saying is, nothing is downloading. Yet this message still keeps popping up.

go to the apple store, they should be able to solve the problem if it is not online

maybe its in app purchase then

go to each app and check downloaded purchases
