Is the phone Jailbroken? Based on the photo, it looks like it. One of your tweaks could be causing the problem.

yes it is jailbroken. so you are suggesting me to uninstall the tweaks? it started happening when i upgraded Springtomize:/ let me uninstall it and check

UPDATE: uninstalled SPringtomize and still the same problem!

This is why we don't jailbreak iPhones. Weird crap happens and no Cydia dev cares enough to fix it.

i dont know what to do:( if i update my status it works fine. but if i post a pic this problem occurs!

This is common. There are already a couple threads on this topic from within the past couple weeks. I never bothered to read all the posts because I don't have this problem. I suggest you find and read those threads. There's probably some helpful information in them which might even help you fix your keyboard issue.

That's a harsh look on it.

I've only been affected with one issue since ive been jail-broken.

That said some people who do jail-break are not always willing to do some goundwork on tweaks before installing them, and sometimes just go crazy downloading all sorts of tweaks !

okie. lets see what can be done!

Good luck! Sorry I don't have more info. If I come across a fix ill be sure to post it if you can't fix it in the meantime.

i restored and now the problem is fixed! thanks for your help guyz!

I've got this same issue too. And now that iOS 6.1.3 is out (and the signing window for iOS 6.1.2 is closed) we don't really have the option to "restore to fix it for awhile, until it inexplicably returns." That sucks.

So now I am uninstalling tweaks one-by-one to try and figure out the culprit, and nothing appears to be helping. My pet theory right now is that some popular tweak we install has some dependency installed along with it, and uninstalling via Cydia doesn't remove it; that dependency is left behind as cruft. And that's what's causing the issue.

I do hope we're able to definitively figure out what's causing it, because it sure is annoying, and then perhaps the developer responsible for the code behind it can fix it.

Do you use winterboard? In one of the threads regarding the iPhone 5 and this problem, the user figured out that winterboard is part of the problem. He figured out that if you install winterboard either first or last (sorry I can't remember...you'll have to read the thread) this problem doesn't happen.

Thanks for the feedback. That sounds rather dicey though. I haven't found the thread you're talking about, but I did see all of these, so it's a fairly common issue.

If you can provide the link to that other thread, I'll see if I can learn more.

In the meantime, I've uninstalled Winterboard, to no effect. The keyboard glitch remains. And I have just re-installed it now (so it is "last") and still, the keyboard glitch remains. It's obviously too late for me to install Winterboard "first."

My hunch is that there is some crufty (pre-iPhone 5) dependency installed that's causing this, as Cydia doesn't uninstall many things when cleaning up. It's just very annoying as we can't easily root out the real cause here...

You're very welcome. Ill find it for you especially because you've clearly tried searching lol. It was fairly recent so it should t take me too long to track down. Ill post it right away for you.

I personally don't use winteoard so I can't say whether its a dependency issue or not. Matter of fact, I never upgraded to the 5. I'm still rocking the 4S so I can't even get this bug.

But anyways, give me a few minutes and ill post that thread.

Edit: now that I think of it, I think this person who figured out the cause had to restore fresh so he could avoid it. I'm running off of memory and I didn't pay super close attention since I don't have winterboard or the iPhone 5. I was just trying to help him out. Anyways, ill get that link.

This is the thread I was thinking of...

Edit: AppSync seems to be named the culprit as well with this problem. I don't use nor have I ever used AppSync so I wouldn't be able to give you advice on how to troubleshoot this problem if that is in fact the cause. Aside from this bug, AppSync can also cause a bunch of other problems too so if you're using that I suggest you remove it especially since the signing window for 6.1.2 is now closed.

Thanks for the help.

I tried everything (removing all suspected tweaks) and nothing worked. Restoring (now that 6.1.3 is out and the signing window on 6.1.2 has closed) isn't an option and even if it were, I'd be concerned the issue would come back, since we don't know the cause.

In any case, I just managed to fix it.

Go to Cydia and install Flex (if you don't already have it, it's worth it. Powerful, extensive utility for tweaking ALL sorts of things.)

Go into Flex, and under Springboard, install "Fullscreen Apps (iPhone 5.)" Then be sure to tap the checkmark to enable it... and reboot.

Now test by going to Photos, sharing a picture via email... you'll see the keyboard is no longer positioned in the middle of the screen! Huzzah!
