My guess is that there will be at least two suprises with iPhone's launch:

1. You Tube integrated into the iPod application, maybe under the "More" icon
2. Quick Look a new application appearing on the home screen, based upon Leopard's new Quick Look Technology - would have a rudimentary file browser allowing you to browser files in the file system, and attachments from Mail. Obviously it would be used as the helper application for Mail to open attachements as well. This would allow viewing on PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, Pages etc, and with its plugin framework, I'm guessing they'll find some way to bring 3rd party plugins across to it. I suspect that Quick Look is that missing 12th icon!

Quick Look for iPhone would make a lot of sense. Being able to view a wide range of document types is important, even if editing on a phone isn't very practical.

When I initially heard about QuickLook, I thought they'd used the built-in save-to-pdf functionality in OSX (or even Flash Paper?) which would mean it would work for any printable file type, without needing plugins to be developed.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for anything to be added.

That way it avoid 24 pages of moaning.

Not that we won't have many more pages than that anyway.

I think you tube is a definite possibility though.

Not so sure about the other one. Although it does beg the question (no doubt already asked) will iPhone be able to be mounted as an external drive like iPod.
